No answers :(

Yesterday we had another appointment with the perinatologist. It went...ok...at best.

The good news is that the doctor we saw (a different one than last time) thinks the kidneys are ok.

The not so good news is that the fluid in her brain is still elevated as is the amniotic fluid. As was the case last time, the doctor said this could end up having no impact, or it could be a problem. He referred us to a pediatric neurologist. We should get an appointment within the next week, but nothing can be simple. My new insurance does not have an "in network" pediatric neurologist, so the perinatologist is going to make some calls to the insurance to try to work it out. She said she would call sometime today.

Another change we weren't expecting is that the perinatologist said they would probably aim to deliver at 38 1/2 to 39 1/2 putting her new due date somewhere between February 11-18th. Of course this is all dependent on the neurologist visit and subsequent perinatologist visits.

All in all, we really didn't get any new information, but we also did not hear what we were hoping to hear (that all is ok, this was just a big mistake, sorry!). The perinatologist did say that we probably wouldn't really have any definitive answers about any of this until after she is born.

I hate waiting and worrying. Our next perinatologist appointment is next Wednesday and hopefully we will have the neurologist appointment before then.

Please continue to pray for our little girl.

We are praying for Baby Bannister and her parents. Thanks for the blog spot to share your family news. I hope that you have gotten the neurologist appointment and that everything works out easily with the insurance. I'll be back in town Thursday if you need anything!
