Two "E"s

Happy Easter Everyone! Justin, Lily Anne and I had a very nice Easter weekend. Grandpa Rex and Aunt Naner (Sandra) came up to visit on Saturday.

On Sunday, we got together Grandma and Grandpa Pieczko, Uncle Nate, Aunt Mary and James for an afternoon BBQ. While at Uncle Nate and Aunt Mary's house, we put Lily on the floor for some tummy time. Within minutes, James (2 years old) got down on the floor with Lily Anne and started copying everything she did. It was quite funny. I took a million pictures and here are a couple I thought were especially cute...

Today we had our first appointment with the pediatric ophthalmologist. As I shared with you before, children with Lily Anne's condition are at risk for optical nerve problems. Lily had her eyes dilated and actually ended up sleeping through the doctor's evaluation of her eyes which was a good thing! Because she was asleep, he was able to get a really good view.

See these beautiful blue eyes...according to the doctor they are...

PERFECT!!

Her optical nerves look great and the even better news is that this is not something that we have to worry about any more! The nerve will not "change." As you can imagine, we are immensely relieved. We will go back in three months to follow up with a general eye exam. We will take these little victories!

Next up for this week...our two month checkup with the pediatrician and our next round of shots. Oh fun!

All you have to do is stare into those gorgeous eyes and know there is nothing wrong with them. Love and Kisses "Auntnaner"
